Hopefully Madison will hold it again next year, and maybe just maybe Milwaukee will get on board as well.Dave Reidhttp://urbanmilwaukee.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5044318737317983833.post-5126016000063861922009-08-31T16:34:33.902-05:002009-08-31T16:34:33.902-05:00it was indeed a fun day. my son loved riding where...it was indeed a fun day. my son loved riding where the cars usually go. i agree that there should have been more advocacy going on. more people need to know about the (relatively) massive amounts of bike trails in the city. before i lived in madison, i never realized just how many places one can get to with pedal power. recent projects like the bridge over Fish Hatchery Rd. and the proposed bike path extension from Lake farm park over Lake Waubesa/Mud Lake need to recieve more attention and praise. the bike path extension would be an amazing way for Mcfarland residents to commute into the city without having to dodge cars on rural 2 lane roads with no shoulders, and would allow folks from the city to enjoy a ride out to a town they've probably never ridden in. At least you're talking about it, Emily. thanks for that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
