You are a bigger person than I if you can actually force yourself to read through this idiocy and dignify them with responses that don't include massive amounts of expletives.
With this response/comment, I would just like to let you know that you are not alone. I, too, enjoy my friends, the perverts, degenerates and "illegals." I also, feel like the sky is falling.
I feel that what we need to do to convince those people represented by the last letter is to explain, and really make them understand, that we can only be a free democracy if everyone is free. We must protect the rights of everyone, to ensure our own rights. If we allow a president to marginalize one group of people we are giving him permission to do the same to us.
Also, the real reason jobs went over seas and laws go unenforced is corruption. The influence of big business and money in our government. Not a party, or liberal vs. conservative politicians. We need to elect government that will fight against the influence of large corporations, definitely not a president who himself is guilty of using his money and influence to impact the government, a president who has already shown that he thinks he is above the law because of his wealth and influence.Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09126912977008813285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5044318737317983833.post-36229449487104075002016-03-30T19:21:45.802-05:002016-03-30T19:21:45.802-05:00Author did not use Oxford comma, so reject for gra...Author did not use Oxford comma, so reject for grammar failure.Dave Schraderhttps://www.flickr.com/photos/korfan/collections/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5044318737317983833.post-31432661396449084192015-08-02T14:23:15.930-05:002015-08-02T14:23:15.930-05:00Some things that I've been grappling with with...Some things that I've been grappling with within roller derby have to do with the reality that a sport that prides itself on inclusivity and reflexivity enables offensive references to be used and utilized by its leagues and players.

There is a fine line between honoring cultural groups and historical events, and being ignorant to the problematic themes being glorified and used for "entertainment" (for example, using "Zyklon B" or "Jonestown Massacre" as derby names). I have been dealing with these types of issues within my own league, and have become disheartened since it is not being addressed and corrected.

I wonder, at what point do skaters say "enough is enough" and walk away from their leagues?

Great post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5044318737317983833.post-87700558058384891852014-12-08T22:55:56.712-06:002014-12-08T22:55:56.712-06:00Hi Im Trish

People ask musicians to play for free, but they don't ask a software developer to write them a free program. They'll ask a massage therapist they know for a free backrub but won't ask their dentist buddy to drill out a cavity.

Why is it that some things are taboo and asking someone to do it for free is sleazy? Musicians spend time and effort to get good at their craft, and they spend money (sometimes lots of money) on instruments.Michael Donnellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11527540303715977817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5044318737317983833.post-15736541675110930292012-09-15T15:50:55.644-05:002012-09-15T15:50:55.644-05:00Thanks! If you enjoy my work you should be willing to pay for it. If not, that's ok, it's not for everyone, but I'm not going to give you things I worked on for days simply because I wasn't miserable while doing it. Exposure is great, but I shouldn't be taken advantage of simply because I am creative. We could create a government program to tax people who work jobs that generate revenue and redistribute it to those that play with watercolors. Then everyone can be paid a living wage with no discrimination based on pesky finances or sustainability! As a society we could make fewer bikes and pizzas and catheters in favor of more flower tapestries and fan fiction. Half our population could ditch their boring paperwork jobs in hospitals and factories so they can explore their self expression by writing death metal sounds about the man keeping them down while paying for it. Sounds great.wisheritagehttp://wiheritage.comnoreply@blogger.com
