Sunday Brunch: T-U-R-T-L-E Power!

I challenge anyone who was roughly my age when this movie came out if they claim they never memorized at least part of this song.

Just sayin'.

True story: the GF and I were sitting in a theater some years ago, waiting for a movie to start. I don't remember which one, but it isn't important.

We winced our way through "Wind Beneath My Wings" (I think) on the overhead, and then lo and behold, "T-U-R-T-L-E POWER" comes on. I'd never heard it. We cracked up at its total hokeyness.

But then it cut out about 2/3 through. Silence. Then more "Wind Beneath My Wings." Then that'd cut out. Silence. Then "T-U-R-T-L-E POWER."

This repeated about 3 times before the movie finally started.; January 5, 2009 at 11:01 AM
